
Season the salmon with salt and pepper to taste.
In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until smooth. Reserve 1 tablespoon of the marinade.
Place the salmon in a medium-sized bowl and pour the remaining marinade over it. Let it marinate for 1-3 hours.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large skillet, place the marinated salmon and discard the marinade. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is almost done and opaque.
Brush the salmon with the reserved glaze and broil on high for 1-2 minutes until the fish reaches 125-130 degrees in the center.
Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving, if desired.
